CBD Laws and Drug Tests

Is CBD Legal in the United States?

November’s midterm elections along with other actions by congress in 2019 via the Farm Bill have resulted in many changes in CBD restrictions and regulations. Cannabis with THC is now legal in many states and will be made legal in even more with each passing election but where does this leave CBD. Most of the CBD on the market is derived from cannabis hemp plants which contain little or no THC and have subsequently been removed from Schedule 1, no known medical uses, list of controlled substances there by making them legal to purchase and use in every state. Be aware there are some products in the marketplace containing CBD extracted from the marijuana plant and this presents more of a grey area in the law. Technically these would still be considered banned substances under by the federal government so for the time being we advise only purchasing Hemp derived CBD.

What About the Rest of the World?

International laws vary considerably when it comes to CBD and until there is some clarity in this situation Vape Crypto CBD can not ship orders outside the United States.

Will CBD Usage Show Up on a Drug Test?

The simple answer here would be no but for any one who might lose a job or face other negative consequences to failed drug test the answer is a bit more nuanced. Employers usually implement a 5 or 10 panel drug test which will always test for the presence of THC metabolites in your body. Since CBD is not psychoactive and would not impair the user this is not something that is part of the standard panel. Now that that is out of the way, what about the trace amounts of THC in Full Spectrum CBD. Legally hemp products can contain up to 0.3 percent THC so taking extremely high daily doses could theoretically cause a drug failure. Considering the federal cut off for a positive result is 50 nanograms of THC per milliliter of urine it would simply take more CBD than a person could reasonably use in a day to cause a positive reading.

Our best advice is that if you are worried about failing a drug test you should stick to only CBD Isolate products since these are the only products lab tested to contain not even trace amounts of THC.

Please note though we can not guarantee that even CBD Isolate products could not inadvertently cause a failure on a drug test!
